Zizou's Real pledge

Zinedine Zidane scored his first goal for Real Madrid on Sunday and is settling in so well he says he will play for the club until he retires.

The French ace made his bow during the current pre-season tour of Switzerland, when he played a part in the game against Lasanne Sport on Friday.

But he had to wait until his second appearance for the club to get off the mark, rifling home into the bottom-right corner after picking the ball up with his back to goal.

Zidane, who made way for Albert Celades later in the second half, said: "I'm happy to have scored my first goal but I'm sure I'll be far more excited to grab one in the Liga or Champions League.

"The most important thing though, is that the team wins. I'm still only at 80 per cent fit but I'll be at back at my peak in about 20 days. I'm really enjoying myself on the pitch, the two games we have played so far have been great."

Zidane is having such a good time that he declared on Tuesday that he would like to retire from the game at Real Madrid.
"My dream is to play at Real until I retire, and now I'm nearer than ever to achieving that," he added.
