Zizou's Champions League hopes

Real's players returned to training on Monday, and Zinedine Zidane declared his European hopes at his first press conference for the Blancos.

"The Spanish game is very different to the one played in Italy where defence takes priority over attack," he said. "I still haven't won the Champions League and this year I could well accomplish that."

The French star has already had some contact with his new teammates and added that he can't wait for the new season to begin.
"I met the lads last week and I'm raring to go. It's a great pleasure to play alongside the likes of Luis Figo and the rest, I've been keeping abreast of the Spanish Liga from Italy. There's a huge interest for the Spanish game over there."

"Depor and Barca won't be our only rivals next season, there's Valencia as well, who could cause an upset. But the main thing is that we win - I'm not afraid of any team in particular," he concluded.
