Zinedine Zidane: Real Madrid draw “my fault”

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has accepted blame for Los Blancos‘ 3-3 draw with Legia Warsaw.

Zidane says Madrid “lacked a bit of everything” in the behind closed doors match.

"I’m not surprised with how the game went," the Madrid boss said, as reported by Sky Sports.

"It was a strange match and what we expected didn’t happen, either in the game or in our performance."

"We lacked a bit of everything. When you score twice you can’t take your foot off the gas, that’s what we did and they scored."

"Then it was a very hard game. It’s my fault, but in the end we didn’t lose and that’s good."

"There’s a lot to analyse," the Frenchman added. "When you go 2-0 up you need to think more and be more closed but we didn’t do that and they could counter us."

"They scored and made the game more difficult for is. What we’ll do is forget about this game and think in the weekend."

"This makes finishing top more difficult, but we’ll see. For us it doesn’t matter, we can still finish first and we’ll battle to do so."
