Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez agree pact over Man Utd target Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale faces spending plenty of time on the Real Madrid bench.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, head coach Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez have agreed a pact to rotate Bale.

The 28-year-old missed a large chunk of last term due to injury and Bernabeu bigwigs are concerned a run of games could lead to him breaking down again this season.

Bale, who has just played two games in the space of four days for Wales, is set to start on the bench against Levante on Saturday.

Real’s medical team fear multiple appearances in a short space of time could lead to him suffering a fresh injury and Zidane is eager to have him fit.

Zidane’s side have an intense fixture list of La Liga and Champions League games until the next international break next month.

The Frenchman has a number of players capable of taking Bale’s place including Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez.

Perez, however, wants Bale to stay injury-free in a bid to sell him next summer.

Manchester United are interested in bringing the former Tottenham star back to the Premier League.

Perez wants to raise around £91.5m (€100m) from selling Bale.

And he is aware that another season plagued by injury would hit Bale’s value, Don Balon claim.
