Zidane Would Like To Play Alongside Rivaldo

Real Madrid playmaker Zinedine Zidane has echoed Luis Figo's sentiments by stating that he'd like to play alongside Rivaldo for the Merengues.

The Brazilian was released by Barcelona at the weekend but Zidane acknowledges that he's unlikely to be turning out for Real next season.

"Rivaldo is one of the best players in the world," said the mercurial Frenchman. "I would like to play with him, but I do not believe that Barcelona will let him play in Madrid. They have let him go free, but for Italy and England, not Spain."
