Zidane will walk away from game after Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane will walk away from football when his contract at Real Madrid expires in 2007.

"I will retire at Real Madrid," said the French star. "I will not do anything else, that I know very clearly."

"I will say 'adios' and that's it. If everything happens as I wish, I will not have left anything to win. I will not play for any club in France nor in any other side. When I retire, the following year I will think only about the happiness of my family."

Zidane also said, "I will not speak with anybody, I will forget everything, football, the journalists, the commitments; I will enjoy life."

"A single year with my family, Véronique (his wife) and my three children (Enzo, Luca and Théo). Nobody will tell me that I have an interview or to turn up for an announcement."
