Bulgarian football legend Hristo Stoichkov believes Zinedine Zidane's arrival at Real Madrid will cause a dressing room split and leave the Frenchman as marginalised as Nicolas Anelka was during his stint in Madrid.
The former Barcelona striker's comments came as the fiery Bulgarian was visiting his old team-mates at the Catalan side.
"Zidane will end up like Anelka," he told Antena 3 TV station. "The fact that he's a world champion, European champion and the best player in the world will cause jealousy among the other players," he added.
Zidane joined Real Madrid in a world record 66-million-dollar transfer from Juventus in the close season just a year after Madrid off-loaded Nicolas Anelka to Paris Saint Germain after he had spent an unhappy spell there.
