Zidane wants Arsenal's Vieira at Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfield ace Zinedine Zidane has admitted he'd love to have Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira at the club next season.

Vieira has reemerged as a major Real transfer target following this week's appointment of Jose Antonio Camacho as new coach. Camacho wants two new midfielders, with Vieira top of his list.

Asked about the prospect of Vieira joining him at Real next season, Zidane declared: "For me, Vieira is the best midfielder in the world.

"He is a player I greatly admire - and someone I consider a great friend."

"Real Madrid would improve a lot with him in our team."
