Zidane Tips France-England Final

France midfielder believes Euro 2004 Group B opponents England can meet the reigning champions in the final of the competition.

The two teams meet in their opening match on 13 June, but Zidane won't rule out the teams meeting again to conclude the tournament.

"For us, the game against England is the match," Zidane told L'Equipe. "People need to see big matches and France against England is a big match."

"But I see no reason why we shouldn't meet again in the final."

Zidane also claimed Real Madrid team-mate and England captain David Beckham was worried by the prospect of meeting France so early in the competitiom.

"He (Beckham) told me about the draw before training yesterday," said Zidane.

"I saw on his face that he didn't like the prospect of facing France so early in the competition!"
