Zidane snaps back at critics of Real Madrid striker Benzema

Real Madrid Castilla coach Zinedine Zidane has defended Karim Benzema from his critics.

Zidane acts as a mentor to his fellow Frenchman.

He told Marca: "I don't know why he gets so much flak."

"Maybe people want him to score 60 goals [a season] like Ronaldo, but he's not going to do that. He's more of a playmaker: he likes linking play, which suits Real Madrid down to the ground."
