Zidane's Real links intensify

Real Madrid sports manager Jorge Valdano confirmed that the club are ready to make three huge signings, and Zinedine Zidane could be one of them.

Los Madrilenos are keen to give their squad a boost by adding a striker, a midfield organizer and a right-back. If recent reports are anything to go by, all three signings will be top-name players and Valdano is claiming that the Juventus and France ace Zidane is closer than ever to signing for the Spanish champions.

"Zidane has made it clear that he wants to play in Spain, probably due to family connections. Now all that remains is to find out whether he fancies playing for Real Madrid," Valdano said.

"As soon as the season is over, we will be pushing the operation to bring Zidane to Real Madrid."
