Zidane interested in Real deal

Juventus ace Zinedine Zidane has said that he would be interested in a move to Real, but only if the two clubs agreed on it first.

Real chairman Florentino Perez has set his sights on bringing Zidane to the Bernabeu next season to sort out the team's midfield. But the Spaniards may have to wait until Zizou wins the Italian 'Scudetto' with Juve before they can persuade him to leave Turin.

The French star said on Tuesday: "I know that the press are talking about Real Madrid wanting to sign me but I personally don't know anything, my agent deals with these kinds of things. It's always best to deal wth these matters at the end of the season."

Zizou has arranged a meeting with his agent, Alain Miglaccio at some point in the next few days to discuss the player's future.

"The interest from Real Madrid isn't new - they've tried to sign me before," Zizou added. "But it's going to be really difficult for any deal to go ahead without Juve's consent."

"I'm under contract at Juve until 2005 and only if they accept an offer from an interested club will I be willing to talk about a transfer."

"Real Madrid is a great club but I'm also with another great club and I want to win the Scudetto. With Juve I have the chance and I wouldn't want anything to distract me from winning the Italian championship."
