Zidane: I will finish my career at Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane says he is loving his life in Madrid and intends to retire as a Real Madrid player.

The French ace also admitted yesterday to being disappointed with his own form in recent games.

"I like Madrid, I am very happy here," said Zidane.

"For me, the Champions League final was the highlight of my club career. I'd lost twice with Juventus, so winning it with Real last season was truly memorable."

"My dream for 2003 is to win the La Liga. I have not won a league title. In five years in Italy I did not win the Scudetto. I believe that this year we can win the La Liga and we want to win it."

He added, "When you don't do your best in a game you get upset, you feel bad. A player cannot always play well, but it bothers me."

"Yes, I will finish my career in Madrid. When you have played for Real Madrid it is difficult to play for another team."

"If Madrid says to me to leave, that is another thing, but I have two years on my contract and I want to finish here."
