Zidane admits speaking to Real Madrid about Vieira

Real Madrid midfield ace Zinedine Zidane has confirmed he's spoken with president Florentino Perez about the possible signing of Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.

"I spoke with the president because he asked for information on Patrick, but I do not have the power to make anyone come here," Zidane said on his personal website.

"It is up to the player, himself, to decide to come, I did not propose anything."

"I told the president that Vieira is one of the best ones in his position, but that is not new and I am not the only one that thinks this."
