Xabi: Real Madrid must not obsess about Barcelona

Xabi Alonso has urged Real Madrid not to obsess about rivals Barcelona.

The former Liverpool midfielder said: "The two teams are at different stages. At Barcelona, the squad has hardly changed, while here there have been a great many changes and we need time to gel."

"We should not obsess with the treble. We should go slowly, the titles are won at the end of the season and we need to have a good foundation, try to start the competitions well, not obsessed if we are going to win two, one, three or no titles."
