Woodgate trains with Real Madrid coach

Jonathan Woodgate trained for the first time in front of Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho yesterday.

The England international defender did 45 minutes of fitness work, training alongside physio Jose Luis San Martin.

Camacho kept a close eye on Woodgate as he took the eight Real players left behind during international week for a short session.

"I am very happy. I hope to be available very soon," Woodgate told watching journalists.

The September 11 clash with Numancia has been pencilled in as Woodgate's debut, though San Martin was quick to point out that he has not played competitively for over four months.
