Woodgate still injured, did not train

Injury-prone Jonathan Woodgate did not train and is uncertain for Real Madrid's match against Deportivo La Coruna at the Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday.

The England defender, out of action for more than a month and suffering from acute back problems, was the only Real player not on the Valdebebas training field Friday, the club said on its web site.

Woodgate had limped off after just nine minutes in Real's Champions League defeat to Arsenal at the Bernabeu on February 21, his third injury of the season, prompting fears of a prolonged absence.
 
However, he had trained normally in the last few days, added the club, which said he might still be fit for Sunday's match.

Woodgate's chances of being selected for the England World Cup squad being steadily reduced by his persistent injuries.
