Woodgate: Real Madrid coach Luxemburgo has improved Beckham

Real Madrid defender Jonathan Woodgate is backing underfire coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo after a difficult week at the club.
 
Woodgate says Luxemburgo's methods since his arrival has seen teammate David Beckham improve his game and insists the team is now more organised.

The England international said: "The work of the trainer is very good. The players are more in form, there's more physical work and a greater organisation."

"David is playing well and from that the team benefits."

One of Woody's best pals at Real is former Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen.

He added: "I always thought that at Everton he did not get the recognition he deserved. He was our best player in the second part of last season. He is a brilliant character and always funny. He's a great friend to have."
