Wobbling Real Madrid go for Fiorentina ace Toni

Real Madrid general manager Arrigo Sacchi is ready to move for Fiorentina striker Luca Toni in the winter market.

Saturday's home humiliation by Barcelona has forced Real to bring forward their transfer plans as this season's Liga title begins to slip out of sight.

Toni has been a revelation at Fiorentina since his summer move from Palermo and crucially isn't Cup-tied from the Champions League.

Sacchi knows Real must move now for Toni, whose price is sure to skyrocket after next year's World Cup.
