West Ham's Faubert: I thought Real Madrid offer was joke

West Ham United midfielder Julien Faubert is delighted with his loan move to Real Madrid.

"The most important thing for me is to play and try to do my best in all the games I play," said Faubert. "I want to play as many matches as possible and prove that as a player I can be good for Real Madrid."

"My goal is to win a title, it is for that I have come to Real Madrid for."

"It's a huge honor for me to come here because Zinedine Zidane is the best. Zidane is Zidane and I think it is impossible to compare him to me."

Faubert admits the move came as a surprise.

"If I'm honest, at first I thought that everything was a joke. It was after when I realized that everything was true and Real Madrid wanted me that I became excited," he added.
