Wenger: Arsenal must fight to keep Reyes

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has conceded he will have to fight to prevent his record £17million signing Jose Antonio Reyes from joining Real Madrid.

Reyes admitted his dream to play for his childhood heroes to a Spanish radio announcer pretending to be Real's director of football Emilio Butragueno.

Now, a frustrated Wenger believes he can keep Reyes at the Gunners, telling the Daily Mirror: "Ever since he was little, he has always watched Spanish football and that's where his admiration for Real Madrid comes from."

"I am annoyed at the way the radio station used him and I am not disappointed to hear what he said because it is normal that Real Madrid was the team of his dreams when he was growing up.

"I like him a lot and I think that he will be a fantastic player here."
