We Need To Keep Roberto Carlos And Salgado - Ronaldo

Real Madrid strike Ronaldo says he hopes that fullbacks Roberto Carlos and Michel Salgado both stay at the club despite speculation linking them with a move elsewhere.

Carlos was yesterday spoken about in the same breath as Chelsea, while a number of clubs are looking at Salgado whose contract expires in the summer.

"I trust that the president Florentino Perez is going to make a big effort to keep these two players at Real Madrid," said Ronaldo.

"This team can give a lot of happiness to the supporters but we need to keep the players that are in the team at this moment."
