Villarreal prepare bid for Real Madrid outcast Van der Vaart

Villarreal are keeping tabs on Rafael van der Vaart's situation at Real Madrid.

The Dutchman has complained over the lack of action he's seen since Juande Ramos' arrival as Real coach.

The midfielder again was restricted to a late cameo in yesterday's victory over Real Valladolid and El Mediterraneo says Villarreal are willing to go as high as £14 million to keep Van der Vaart in Spain next season.
