Villarreal players angry after Madrid defeat

Villarreal players are angry that they allowed Real Madrid to slip away with a 3-2 win on Saturday.

The hosts went ahead 2-1, thanks to a goal by Calleja before Real's fightback. The midfielder said last night: "It has been a totally deceptive result, although we must recognize that Real Madrid has quickened the tempo in the second-half and perhaps overwhelmed us thanks to the quality of their players."

Teammate Diego Cagna added, "Real Madrid has not played well enough to deserve the three points and they won because of our errors than their good play."

"I believe that we have played very well, but in the second-half we needed to be calm when the score was to our favor."

Lopez Vallejo also said, "It hurts us to lose this way because we really had done enough to win."
