Vieira stuns Arsenal with £75,000-a-week demands

Patrick Vieira has demanded a staggering £75,000-a-week to sign a new contract at Arsenal.

The Frenchman's demands have left Highbury chiefs reeling, says The Sun.

Arsenal believe only Real Madrid and Manchester United are capable of paying that sort of money and won't go above the £50,000 mark as they struggle to keep a lid on the wage bill.

Vieira has only 12 months to run on his current deal and will hold crunch talks with manager Arsene Wenger next week when the pair return from holiday.
