Vicente del Bosque delivers panegyric to his side

Commenting on his side's 3-2 win over Villarreal, Real Madrid manager Vicente del Bosque said that his players displayed an exceptional firmness by achieving the victory 7 minutes before the final whistle.

"Irrespective of the result and the play, the players showed that they could fight till the end. We demonstrated the winning spirit against Roma as well. The guys, being much criticized recently, proved their strength. Football is unpredictable. In the first half we didn't manage to use some fine chances. But at the end our efforts were rewarded.
