Varane hints at Real Madrid playing frustration

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane concedes he's third string in the pecking order of centre-halves.

Varane has been used as cover this season for first-choice pairing Pepe and Sergio Ramos.

He told Surface magazine: "The competition with them does not suit me now and isn't something I want in the future. The goal is to be on the pitch."

"I'm calm and when I have played, I tried to get it right. Pepe and Sergio Ramos played more than me, but I try to do the best I can."
