Van Nistelrooy thrilled with Real Madrid comeback

Ruud van Nistelrooy was thrilled to make his Real Madrid comeback in last night's victory over Rosenborg.

Real won 4-0 to lift the Santiago Bernabeu trophy, with Van Nistelrooy having 15 minutes at the end to prove his fitness.

"I feel great physically, fully recovered from my injury," said the Dutch striker. "I'm speechless, the reception has been tremendous."

"The worst part of my recovery was spending six months locked in the gym, but with this reception I forget everything. It was worth the effort. I want to score many goals this season."
