Van Nistelrooy insists no lingering rift with Real Madrid pal Ronaldo

Ruud van Nistelrooy is happy to be working with former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

It's claimed that one of the reasons United boss Sir Alex Ferguson chose to sell the Dutchman to Real was because he didn't get along with Ronaldo.

But Van Nistelrooy insists: "Cristiano will be a great player for Madrid."

"He has six or seven good years ahead of him."
