Valencia's Helguera slams Real Madrid chiefs Calderon, Mijatovic

Valencia defender Ivan Helguera has hit out at Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon and sports director Pedja Mijatovic for the way he was treated last season.

"They removed my spirit and made my life miserable by saying I would not play, that I would never again wear the shirt of Real Madrid," said Helguera. "It wasn't fair after all I had given in eight years at Real Madrid."

"I did not want to continue fighting against those people who are truly not part of Real Madrid."
