Valencia reject fresh Real Madrid offer for Ayala

Real Madrid have failed in their bid to sign Valencia defender Roberto Ayala.

The Argentina international attracted a £9.5 million offer from Real yesterday, but it was turned down.

Valencia deemed the offer not high enough and would only accept the cash bid if Real also added the 50% registration they own of Mallorca striker Sammy Eto'o.
