Valencia move for Real Madrid's Figo

Valencia have made an enquiry for Real Madrid wing ace Luis Figo.
 
The Portugal international's future at Real remains up-in-the-air, despite his claims last week that he intends to see out the final year of his contract.

New Valencia coach Quique Sanchez Flores has discussed Figo's signing with sports chief Javier Subirats, who made his approach to Real yesterday.

Nothing concrete was agreed as the relationship between the two clubs is still recovering from Roberto Ayala's on-off move to Real Madrid last year.

Along with Valencia, French giants Olympique Lyon and Marseille have also made their interest known to Figo's representatives.
