Valdano: We Can Still Win La Liga And Champions League

Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano has insisted that the club can still have a successful season despite the recent setbacks.

Real were beaten in the Copa del Rey final by Zaragoza last week, and on Saturday they lost 4-2 to Athletic Bilbao in the league.

"The two big objectives of Real Madrid are still within our reach," Valdano told Marca. "I still believe the team is capable of winning both the league and the Champions League."

"At the moment there is a disagreeable feeling at the club. It is the first time in the season that we have lost two games in a row, but we still have the same players that got us to the top and the situation is going to change very soon."
