Valdano: Talk of Real Madrid crisis is ridiculous!

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has angrily hit out at critics who are saying his club is in crisis.

Only last week, Valdano described Real's situation as a "tolerable crisis". However, last night he barked: "This crisis is not real."

"How ridiculous this is talk is! Ever since we began the season we have lost only once and they are already talking like we are in a serious crisis."

"Of the tolerable crisis that I spoke about, I meant that there was a massive gap between our present situation and something intolerable."

"I hope that it remains there, where we are."

Real's Zinedine Zidane also said last night: "There is no crisis. Simply, we are in a small, difficult moment."

"This is the same team that won the Champions League last season. It is only a bad spell of form. The season is long and this blip can be solved."
