The Santiago Solari saga is finally close to an end. An official statement by general manager Jorge Valdano published today on Real Madrid's website made the intentions of the Merengues very clear. The Argentinean winger was sold to Inter in September as a part of the deal that took Ronaldo to the Merengues, but the Nerazzurri had an option to choose either the player or 10 million Euros.
"I understand that it's very difficult to leave a club like Real Madrid" Valdano added, "But Inter are a great team as well and Cuper is willing to have Santiago in his roster. I know that Solari's managers and Inter are talking in these days, and I believe they will find an agreement. Otherwise, we would be forced to pay the 10 million Euros".
