Valdano: Real Madrid talks on hold with Del Bosque

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano says all contract talks have been suspended until June.

Valdano confirmed that talks over trainer Vicente del Bosque's new deal were scheduled for this week, "but could be postponed until June".

Asked if the reason behind the decision was Wednesday night's defeat in Turin, Valdano replied: "Real Madrid won't single out individuals. It was a collective failure."

He added, "We have to focus totally on the championship. We have important games coming up and that's why contract talks will be put on hold until the end of May or in June."
