Valdano plays down Real Madrid transfer plans

Real Madrid sports director Jorge Valdano has played down any potential moves in next month's transfer market.

Real have been linked with several defenders, including Liverpool's Abel Xavier, but Valdano told Radio Marca: "We do not have an intention to move in January, unless we find an opportunity, but this is something improbable during these dates."
