Valdano: No Real Madrid panic over injury crisis

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano insists there is no panic despite the club's mini injury crisis.

Diego Pavon broke down in training yesterday, joining Fernando Hierro and Ivan Helguera as central defenders on the sidelines.

"It's true there are injuries, but we can cover them," insisted Valdano.

"It is a great opportunity for the youth team and an acid test for them."
