Valdano: If Chelsea Make Salgado Offer, We Will Go To Fifa

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has warned Chelsea over making an approach for right-back Michel Salgado.

"If Chelsea make an offer for Salgado we would have to step to FIFA with that, because it shows disrespect for the right moment," he said.

"We are already in a conflict with Claude Makelele and if Chelsea make an offer now, they would be disrespecting the right time to do this."

Real will hold meetings with Salgado this week over an extension to his current deal, and Valdano added: "Our idea is to reach a deal with him in the coming week. It is not good to let it take more time."
