Valdano Confirms Contract Negotiations With Roberto Carlos

Jorge Valdano has confirmed that Roberto Carlos will soon be signing an extension for the Spanish club.

The General Director of Real Madrid stated that the Brazilian full-back is ready to sign a new contract soon: "He is ready to extend with Real. I spoke with him today because he wanted to explain something to me. We shall discuss, but he doesn't want that there are journalistic speculations about this."

Roberto Carlos has been recently linked to Chelsea and also to a return to Inter.
