Valdano: Beckham in Real Madrid plans

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has revealed David Beckham is a transfer target for the European champs.

Manchester United star Beckham has been linked with a £30 million move to Real in recent days.

Real president Florentino Perez rubbished the reports over the weekend, however Valdano took a different tact yesterday.

"Considering the great blows Real have made in the transfer market in recent years, it is right to assume that Beckham could be part of our plans."
