Valdano Admits Salgado Could Leave

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has admitted that Michel Salgado could leave the club at the end of the season if a new contract cannot be agreed.

"I have a meeting with the agent of the player to open negotiations," he said.

"These talks will be serious and we hope to reach an agreement this week. If it is not so, we will not have any problem in announcing that the player is free to look for another club for next season."
