Vagner Loves Real Madrid, But May Settle For Everton

The Toffees are stuck on CSKA's blue-haired Brazilian, but he has set his sights on an even sweeter deal at Los Merengues.

A host of clubs from across Europe have reportedly been keeping tabs on Vagner Love, and yet it seems only one has shown any genuine interest in the CSKA Moscow striker.

That team is Everton, but the Brazilian international has hinted that he could hold out for a mega move to the undisputed heavyweights of Spain's Primera Division. 

"Just one club has contacted me and that club are Everton. But it would be marvellous to play for Real Madrid - every player dreams of joining them," he said in the Daily Mail.

"I will do everything I can and more to negotiate my release with the CSKA president."

The Toffees were strongly linked with Love during the summer, but they instead opted to sign French forward Louis Saha from Manchester United.

However, now that both Saha and Nigerian hitman Yakubu are sidelined, Toffees boss David Moyes could well mobilise a move for the 24-year-old.
