Uefa Champions League draw: Liverpool to face Atletico Madrid; Manchester City go up against Real Madrid in last -16

This season’s final will be held in Istanbul, Turkey.

The draw for the last-16 of the Uefa Champions League was held in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday and it pitted reigning champions Liverpool against Atletico Madrid.

Manchester City face Real Madrid, while last year’s beaten finalists Tottenham Hotspur will play RB Leipzig. Chelsea will go up against Bayern Munich.

The final will be held at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey this season.

The last-16 first leg ties are set to be played on February 18/19/25/26, and the second legs will be played on March 10/11/17/18.

Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in last year’s final in Madrid, the Reds’ sixth triumph.

Elsewhere in the draw, Borussia Dortmund will play Paris Saint-Germain, Champions League debutants Atalanta will face Valencia, Lyon were drawn against Juventus and Napoli face Barcelona.
