Two years later, Redondo makes Milan debut

Argentine midfielder Fernando Redondo will make his debut for AC Milan in tonight's Coppa Italia clash against Ancona - two years after joining the club from Real Madrid.

Redondo suffered cruciate ligament damage to his right knee soon after joining Milan in June 2000.

The club kept faith with Redondo and the Argentine even offered to go without his contractual payments in an effort to save the club.

The blonde star played over 250 matches for Real, winning all domestic honours and the Champions League twice.
