Spanish third division side Figueres continued their giant-killing antics on Tuesday as they beat Osasuna on penalties in the third round of the King's Cup.
Figueres, who defeated Barcelona 1-0 in the second round, added another top-flight victim by beating Osasuna 4-2 on penalties after the match finished goalless at the end of 120 minutes. Inaki Munoz and Sabino missed from the spot for Osasuna.
Novelda made it a night of celebration for third division sides with their 1-0 victory over first division Las Palmas.
Substitute Sergio Melgarejo grabbed the only goal seven minutes from time for the Alicante team, who lost their second- round match against Valencia 1-0 but went through on appeal after the first division side fielded an ineligible player.
Melgarejo, formerly of Valencia, had been on the field 20 minutes when he took the ball on a solo run and beat Las Palmas keeper Zelko Cicovic to send his side into the last 16.
