Tottenham want Real Madrid's Queiroz to join management team

Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz is the new favourite to be named manager at Tottenham.

The Independent says Queiroz could work in tandem with PSV Eindhoven technical chief Frank Arnesen at White Hart Lane next season, with the Dane's signing by Tottenham to be confirmed today.

A Spurs spokesperson said: "We have seen this speculation but there are no plans to make any announcement."

Arnesen is expected to be responsible for transfers and scouting, while Queiroz has emerged as a front-runner for head coach after his tenure at Real Madrid has become threatened by four defeats in a row.
