Tottenham unhappy with Real Madrid price for Diarra

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has seen his move for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra stall.

The Sun says his bid to bring Diarra to Tottenham has hit the buffers in a row with Real Madrid over the ex-Chelsea man's £20million price tag.

The Spurs boss will not meet Real's demands as he rates the Frenchman at just £14m.

But Redknapp is in need of a midfielder as Wilson Palacios is on the brink of a £6m move to Stoke, Luka Modric's future is uncertain and Sandro is ruled out for the first two months of the campaign at least.
