Tottenham to make Real Madrid loan move

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has not given up hope of landing Real Madrid playmaker Isco and will make a loan move for the Spanish star in January according to The Mirror.

Spurs were linked with an audacious approach to sign the former Malaga midfielder over the summer but the diminutive schemer opted to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and fight for a place in Zinedine Zidane’s team.

Isco was initially far down the French coach’s pecking order but his opportunities to play have improved of late.

Despite this, the report suggests that Pochettino sees the Spain international as a player that could add real quality to the North London team in the final third and help the White Hart Lane outfit put forward a Premier League title challenge.

It remains to be seen what the player’s plans are, with every likelihood he will stay in his homeland if there is any suggestion he will play for Madrid on a semi-regular basis.

However, Spurs could make Isco their main man and offer him Champions League football also, if a suitable wage package could be negotiated.
