Tottenham linked with Real Madrid target Xabi

Tottenham have been linked with Real Sociedad midfielder Xabi Alonso.

The 22 year-old Spanish international has been made available by Real and is interesting Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"There has been no firm contact," his agent, Inaki Ibanez, replied when asked about Tottenham's interest. "It is just speculation at the moment."

"There are people that are looking to get involved, but at the moment there is nothing official."
